Benefits of marriage for a woman

There are many great benefits of marriage for a woman. As much as women argue that it is indifferent if you are single, in a long-term relationship, or dating a married man, I can advocate that there are great benefits to being married. Every person has their own flaws but I think the benefits of marriage outweigh the disadvantages of marriage.

However, it is important to note that most of these benefits can only be enjoyed if you are married to a loving and responsible spouse.

Having gone through the different seasons in my life I have observed the great benefits of marriage which I would not have fully enjoyed if I was dating. Also, note that some of these benefits cannot be enjoyed if you are in a long-distance marriage or have a hectic work schedule.

1. You have a daily companion

The benefits of marriage for a woman is that you go home to your man daily. Or your man comes back home to you each day. You know that you will sleep with him every night. When you want to cuddle, he will be there for you. This is not the case when you date a married man, who is only available during his own terms, or when the wife is away.

You are able to spend all holidays with your man, even holidays that are meant for family. When you are not married, there will be times when your partner has to be with his family, and because the relationship is not formal it might not be appropriate to go with him to his family or for him to come with you to your family.

2. You have a reliable friend

When I went through a bereavement, I felt grateful to be married because my husband was there for me more than any other person. He was emotionally, physically, and financially available for me. Funerals are very costly and demanding so having someone who sacrificed his time and money was a bonus. The experience made me think that if I was not married, I would have been alone with no friends during that time.

When you are married, you know that you have someone who will be with you through the good and bad times. You have someone who will take care of you, or even visit you daily if you are in hospital.

3. You have easy access to help in times of need

The benefit of being married is that you have someone who will be there for you when you need help. You can call him to come to your rescue when you are stuck, or have an emergency or need a tyre change. You don’t have to first think of who to call and inconvenience when you have a spouse.

But if you are single or not in a serious relationship, you have to rely on roadside assistance or a friend or family member.

4. You always have someone to celebrate your birthday with

Another benefit of being married as a woman is that you are guaranteed to have someone to celebrate your birthday with. This person will also give you a gift.

If you are single, you need to have a gift stokvel with your friends so that they can also give you a gift on your birthday. When married, you have no fear that you will be alone on your birthday because your spouse will be there.

5. You have financial assistance

Being married to the right spouse has great financial benefits. Money under 30 lists the great financial benefits of marriage. Your spouse can assist when you are financially capable and also when you are not financially capable. You have someone that will take care of you, household expenses, and even the kids.

If you have a supportive husband, you are also able to focus on upgrading your studies. If you lose your job, you know that you have a plan B in terms of financial support.

You are able to live more comfortably than you would if you are handling the entire household alone. You can even acquire assets faster.

6. Raising kids is much easier

The benefit of being married as a woman is that the process of raising kids becomes much easier. You are able to raise the kids together by working as a team. Unlike co-parenting, when married you are able to split roles like helping them with homework, transporting them to school etc.

7. You have a handyman

The benefits of marriage for a woman is that you have a handyman. He will change your lightbulb, assemble furniture and even affix wall paintings. When you are not married, you might have to do these things yourself or call your guy friend to come and assist. Your man can even help with carrying heavy items.

8.     You have a chauffeur and someone to help run errands

The benefit of being married is that you have someone who drives you for free. I appreciate being married because I always have someone to drive me, especially long distances. My hometown is 500km away and ever since I got married, I no longer have to drive myself. You can easily do road trips because you have a driver.

Another benefit of being married for a woman is that your spouse can run certain errands for you. He can be able to take care of house and car repairs, gardening etc.

9. Sex on demand

The great benefit of marriage is that you are able to satisfy your sexual urge when it arises. You don’t have to wait for your boyfriend to visit or when you visit him. You are able to fulfill all your fantasies with your husband. If you want it daily it is also achievable.

10. You have someone to help you do what you cannot do yourself

The great benefits of marriage for a woman is that you have someone to help with the small things like zipping your dress or even fastening your necklace. You have that person who will notice if your image is not right and complement you if your image is great.
