Yes you can pray for a relationship with someone and if you are not already doing it, you should start today. 

Why is it that it is right to be specific on where you desire to work or stay but feel guilty about being specific when it comes to your love life?

The bible in John 14:14 says “If you ask for ANYTHING in my name, I will do it. So whether you need God to fix your relationship, strengthen your relationship, you want direction for the relationship, you can ask for it in prayer, because it is part of ANYTHING.

Generic prayers are good when you do not know what you want, but if you already know what you want you can make a specific prayer. But remember God still has the final say.

8. Your partner to live a long life: Sometimes good love can be shortlived. So these also encompass their protection.
