Bible Verse About A Good Husband

Want to know what is or what makes a good husband according to the Bible? There are numerous bible verse about a good husband.

The Bible says that the husband is the head of the wife (Ephesians 5:23) and the head of every man is Christ (1 Corinthians 11:3).

So for a man to be a good husband it is necessary for him to submit to Christ. And as Christ instructs him, he is able to pass on the instruction to his wife. This gives the woman that is married to him confidence that the man who is head over her is a great leader and she can therefore submit to him.

John 10:11 says that Christ is the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. This means that the bible expects a good husband to take on the role of a good shepherd when it comes to his wife and family.

Women love security and if she knows that her husband is a good shepherd, she will be confident that she will never be in want according to Psalm 23:1
