Bible Verses About Beauty Of Woman

There are so many bible verses about beauty of a woman. The famous one is Proverbs 31:30 which says, “Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.”

This means that one should be careful of focusing only on a woman’s outward appearance because at some point the beauty fades and what never fades is character.

The Bible encourages women to focus on inward beauty and not outward adornment (1 Peter 3:3).

You might also wonder if a woman should do makeup. But the likes of Queen Esther had to complete 12 months of beauty treatments before they could be fit to go to the king (Esther 2:12).

The Bible says that Abraham’s wife Sarah, Isaac’s wife Rebekah, and Jacob’s wife Rachael were beautiful and so were the wives of David.

I think our pastors have the same taste as the men of God in the old testament because the majority of them have beautiful wives.

However, beauty alone is not sufficient that is why Proverbs 11:22 says “Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful woman who shows no discretion.”

King Solomon in Proverbs 6:25 clearly advises men not to lust after a woman’s beauty, because this has been the cause of downfall of men.

Remember when David saw Bathsheba bathing, he lusted after her beauty and committed adultery and murder as a result of a beauty of a woman (2 Samuel 11:2).
